You get up in the morning and the run for the day starts. You have to face traffic jam, pollution, a very hot or cold weather and you have to reach office before time also. All these pressures wear out your body and imbalances the whole mechanism of the body. It comes out as a headache most of the time. You get a throbbing headache as the body demands some rest and peace. What do you do for it? You just take a pain killer and kill the pain or really listen to your body's genuine demand? Rather than taking a painkiller for headache, calm down your body and try some simple and easy home remedies. Take a chill-pill sometime and enjoy. This is the key to have a headache free life.


It is very much possible to get headache when your body needs water. If your body is dehydrated, it affects the supply of blood and oxygen, and you get headache. So, drink a cool glass of water. If dehydration is the reason behind your headache, it will go in 5 minutes.

Apples are known to have such properties which can give you relief from headache. When you have headache, have some slices of an apple with some salt. It helps alleviate headache. Also you can take apple cider vinegar.

It is a great home remedy to get relief from headache. Add ginger and tea leaves to boiling water and add milk and sugar as per your taste. Drink this natural medicine to cure headache. It helps reduce the inflammation of the blood vessels in the head which in turn alleviates headache.

Sometimes you get headache due to cold. Simply grind some cinnamon sticks with water and make a thick paste. Apply it on your forehead and leave it for 5-10 minutes. Also, you can drink hot milk with cinnamon powder in it.

Massage your forehead with peppermint oil when suffering from headache. It promotes blood flow and soothes your blood vessels instantly and helps you get rid of headache.

Caffeine present in coffee helps relieve headache. It reduces the swelling of blood vessels. So, have a cup of coffee and forget the pain. Caffeine is also used in many headache pills.
